ted's really an architect
My acclaimed sit-com fave, How I Met Your Mother, has recently aired some episodes giving insight on Ted's (the main character) life as an architect. i wondered if he was "really" an architect until it was made clear in tonight's episode when his boss corrected his lack of an architectural license prevents him from qualifying himself as an architect. Ted's really like most practicing "architects" out there....project-managering and job-captaining their way to the top for recognition.
The fact is, there aren't many licensed architects (me included) practicing in the field because of the hugely challenging and tedious examination process....NINE parts and an oral interview. when i was 25 and feshly graduated...i boasted that this goal was well within reach. soon enough i learned that licensed architects came so scarcely. i am still studying and am realizing that the easiest way to pass is to not only "memorize" the tons of test of material out there but to actually get the experience. so here i am...taking it all it in and studying!, whilst learing from the wisdom of How I Met Your Mother.
