an anniversary meal - Quattro Resturant Review
exbf and i were privileged with enjoying a meal at the four seasons in palo alto. nessie treated us to some awesome desserts that are not to be found on the menu. we ordered a feast that we can only indulge in once a year. this week is exbf's birthday *happy birthday to yoU!* and we will be trying some more special food that i hope to rave about this time next week.
this "bird's nest" was at our table when we were seated
shaved proscuito, creamy herbed brie, goat cheese with truffles, and a citrus vinegarette
grilled ahi, scallop, and tiger prawn atop fresh vegetables
fresh gnocchi with crisped pancetta and asparagus, in cream sauce
pistachio creme brulee, banana cream tart in chocolate sauce, homemade cinnamon ice cream with banana lumpia (that's right! nessie put lumpia on special at the four seasons!)
chocolate truffle cake with raspberry coulis and a side of tart champagne grapes
there was also a HUUUUGE rib eye that i ordered and lamb chops that exbf ordered that we were too busy eating and i did not get to take a picture of. sadly i was TOO full to finish the dessert plate. when the desserts came out.... i thought dessert ended at the chocolate cake and i savored every single bite until nessie (nessie is exbf's "pastry cooker" sister) came out with the amazing platter. i wanted to bring every crumb home but exbf said it was shameful.
